Talks

Informative, interactive, thought-provoking sessions introducing pupils to the topic of homelessness. Perfect for PSHE, year groups and, full school assemblies.

The traditional school curriculum does not include teaching on the topic of homelessness. As such, Ben offers schools the opportunity to provide their students with informative, interactive, and thought-provoking talks on this topic. Sessions are locally tailored, age-appropriate and can be delivered to individual PSHE classes, year groups, and full school assemblies.
Students explore the latest research on how the ‘homelessness system’ in the UK functions, the potential solutions to its shortcomings and discover how contributing in their local community is easier than they might think. Throughout, students learn about how communities and local governments safeguarded rough sleepers during COVID-19, how homelessness and drug policy responses intersect in North America's overdose crisis, and how cities around the globe are innovating their policy responses to improve the lives of their most vulnerable community members.
By providing unique and practical insights through local and global perspectives on homelessness, students are introduced to one of the UK's most pressing social issues.
